Gun Control

I would have to say that probably everyone has an opinion about gun control, whether it be for or against it. For this post, I would just like to know everyone's opinion on this subject. If you are against it, give me some reasons why and help me to understand your side. If you agree and want more gun control, then do the same and help me to understand why you believe the way you do. Facts to back up your opinion are very welcome. I want you to speak your mind freely about the topic. I would also like to hear about your opinions of the second amendment and its involvement in this subject. Do you think it should be repealed or taken away, or should it stay an amendment? I guess I can go ahead and start the discussion by saying my opinion. I personally do not believe in gun control and I don't think that the second amendment should be repealed. I think that everyone should have the right to own a firearm when they have been taught about safety and know what they are doing. I believe that criminals will always find ways to get their hands on weapons and firearms, so it would do a lot of harm to keep guns out of the good guy's hands so that they could be able to defend themselves. We need to be able to have the firearms to defend ourselves against the criminals. I am a conservation major in college, so I also think about the animal population control problem, and guns play a big role in this process(hunting seasons) to keep animals at healthy populations for themselves and the environment. Well, there is my opinion and now I would like to know what you think! (I am a first time blogger, so I look forward to your posts.)
